Issues when entering live meetings

Possible error causes that hinder participants from entering live meetings

You tried to join a live meeting for a course in your provider’s academy, but it didn’t work?

Here are some potential issues that might have occurred and their solutions:

Problem:

The meeting is already running, but the button to join is not clickable.

Solution 1:

Make sure that you are logged into your provider’s academy with the user account you created earlier. You can find the login option in the top right corner of the academy under "Log in." Your provider may have sent you an invitation email that allowed you to set up a password. You need to use this password along with your email address as the username to log into the academy.

If you have forgotten the password for your academy account, simply click on "Password forgotten?" under the login form.

You will automatically receive an email that will allow you to easily and quickly reset your password. Once logged into the academy, you should be able to join the live meeting.

Solution 2:

A pop-up blocker might be preventing you from joining the live meeting. To resolve this, you need to allow pop-ups in your browser. You can find instructions on how to do this for your specific browser in the following article:

How to Allow Pop-Ups in All Browsers: Step-by-Step Guides

After enabling pop-ups in your browser, you should be able to join the live meeting. You may need to refresh the academy page.

Problem:

You are logged into your provider’s academy and have allowed pop-ups in your browser.

The academy indicates that the meeting is already running, but there are still more than 60 minutes until the actual meeting start time, and the button appears gray and unclickable.

Solution:

The message "The meeting is already running" means that the host has started the meeting. However, participants can only join the meeting up to 60 minutes before the actual start time, even if the host opened the meeting, for example, 2 hours earlier.

Wait until it is within 60 minutes of the actual meeting start time, and then try joining the meeting.

Example: If the actual start time is 2:00 PM, you can join the meeting at the earliest at 1:01 PM (assuming the host has already opened it by then).
