How to create an individual certificate

How to create, download and newly generate a course certificate for participants

After participating in one of your courses, your participants will be able to download a personalized certificate, which you can customize in advance. The certificate will also be sent to participants via email upon course completion.

Navigate to the course for which you want to activate and create a certificate. Click on "Certificate".

To ensure a certificate is created upon course completion, you need to switch the slider at the bottom of the window to "Activate by default."

The following functions in the certificate editing mode help you to customize it almost completely:

  • Format

Portrait

Landscape

Design your certificate in the classic style like a regular A4 page Design your certificate differently and use the width to place multiple elements side by side, such as tables

  • Title

Set the heading on your certificate completely individually. For example: "Certificate of Completion...", "Participation Certificate", "Diploma", etc.
  • Background Image

The function with the most customization options is the background function. Set your existing certificate template as an image in JPG, PNG, or SVG format and upload it as the background for the certificate. This gives you a completely custom-designed certificate that will be awarded to your participants upon course completion.

Alternatively, create a new background image with graphics and text using programs like Word, Paint, Canva, or Photoshop, which you want to appear on the certificate for your participants, without later using the integrated text field.

  • Signature

Automatically display your name  at the bottom left of your certificate.

Upload an image of your signature and have it appear at the bottom left of your certificate. Note that the background of the signature should match the certificate background color. You can, for example, simply scan your signature.

  • Person’s Title

If the speaker or course creator has personal titles, these will be displayed directly under the person's signature.

  • Text Field

You can use the text field to write additional text or the entire text that should appear on your certificate. Use this field, for example, for acquired knowledge from the course or completed tasks.

In the menu bar at the top of the text field, you have various font settings: type, color, size, alignment. It is important to note that the font color follows your academy colors to ensure a modern design. Change the colors in your academy settings to have additional colors available for your certificate text.

Be sure not to alter variables like {{ CUSTOMER_NAME }} , as these are automatically replaced with the participant’s name. This ensures the certificate is automatically personalized for each participant. Of course, you can also completely remove the placeholders.
  • Logo

Next, you can upload an image file under the "Logo" tab. Note that the file must be in JPG, PNG, or SVG format. We recommend a resolution of 115x64 pixels for optimal results.

A finished certificate with all settings could look like this:

Additionally, you can see how the certificate will look to participants in your course later by clicking on the "Preview" button.

Have you made changes to a course certificate and now want to make it available to participants who completed the course before the changes? No problem. You can simply issue the new certificate in the participant's course history from the three-dot menu. There, you can also download the participant’s certificate directly for yourself.
