You can manually add participants in reteach by clicking on the "Teilnehmer*innen hinzufügen" (Add Participants) button in the Participants section.
When you click on "Create," a new window opens where you can set up a new participant. You will need the following information: email or username, password, first name, and last name.
At this step, you can also set the user's password if needed. This is especially important if your user logs in with a username and without an email address. We strongly recommend that you communicate this password to your participants confidentially. This step is very important for privacy reasons. If you manually add a participant and set a password yourself, you are not allowed to send it to the participant via email. You can find more information about this in this article.
Additionally, you have the option to automatically invite participants to your academy via email. To do this, check the box for "Invite participants via email". The participants will then be prompted to set their own password.

What additional profile data can I add?
The “Additional profile data (optional)” dropdown lets you record more details about a participant right when you create them. In the Add participant window, click Additional profile data (optional) – the section expands and you can fill in the fields you need.
These fields are available:
- Profile name – the participant’s display name
- Manager – the person they report to, selected via Add manager
- Language – the language of the interface and of system emails
- Time zone – preset to
Europe/Berlin - Date of birth and Gender
- Company, Department, Team, Position and Location – the organisational assignment
- Type (Internal, External) – whether this is an internal or an external person
Finally, click Add participant.
All entries are optional: you can leave the section collapsed while creating the participant and add or change the data in their profile at any time.
