How to create a SCORM course - example iSpring

How you can create a SCORM course in your academy using iSpring as an example

Create your SCORM course in 3 steps:

1) Export Your Course as a SCORM Package

First, export your course or learning unit as a SCORM package using your authoring tool.

In our example, we are using the iSpring authoring tool plugin for PowerPoint to create our SCORM course. Click on the "Publish" button in the PowerPoint plugin to export your SCORM package.

2) Set Up and Export the SCORM Package

A window will open where you can navigate to "LMS" in the menu bar. Give your project a name and choose where it should be saved.

It is important to select the SCORM 2004 version under "LMS Profile." This is the most recent version available. In other authoring tools, this option might be labeled differently, such as "Choose SCORM Version" or "SCORM Standard."

Then click on Publish. Your course will be exported as a Zip file, which is your SCORM package.

3) Upload the SCORM Package to reteach

You can now upload this SCORM package (Zip file) as a whole to reteach.

Navigate to the course where you want to publish your SCORM content. Create a new lesson and select the "SCORM Content" option.

In the designated field for your SCORM file, either select the Zip file from your computer or drag and drop it into the field.

Remember to save the lesson when you're done.
